Infrastructure
Since 1998, the City of New Albany and The New Albany Company have spearheaded more than $1 billion in public and private investment to create shovel-ready commercial property and establish state-of-the-art infrastructure, working in partnership with area businesses to ensure access to the latest resources that drive commerce.
Among the many examples is the development of New Albany’s dual feed electric capabilities made possible through a relationship with AEP when it built its new mission critical data center. New Albany’s lit fiber optic network that enables access to more than 180 carriers is the result of a joint venture with Blue Mile which recently moved into the business park.
As a master-planned community, New Albany has also paid careful attention to increasing accessibility, reducing traffic congestion and encouraging cycling and walking. We offer three highway interchanges connecting to our commercial business park as well as 27 miles of leisure trails suitable for cyclists and walkers.
