The Healthcare Innovation Campus continues to build upon New Albany’s impressive and growing cluster of healthcare-related institutions, including Mount Carmel New Albany Surgical Hospital, Ohio’s only orthopedic surgical hospital as well as general and specialty medical practices and a variety of other enterprises engaged in everything from healthcare informatics to pharmaceutical manufacturing. The patient-centric campus is situated on a 20-acre forested nature preserve and affords easy access to Interstate 161 Expressway. The success of the hospital which draws 10,000 patients each year and recently expanded its facilities by 50 percent was instrumental in New Albany’s ability to attract its first hotel, a 122-room Courtyard by Marriott to the campus.
